Off In Search Of The Great River Copake

Another photo from the USA visit, at our next stop: Uncle Will and Aunt Jo’s abode in Copake, Colombia County, New York. We had been searching for the Great River Copake, but marshy thickets forced us back to the garden before we could find it.

I took the pic with my MiniDiana, with Fuji Superia 200 film again.

Should have also taken pictures of your Brook-selves (+ Sam) in the frosty (“refreshing,” ha ha) former quarry, on the way to/fro Bash-Bish. The Great River Copake is a tributary of the Roe-Jan Kill, a name I always enjoy. And as you didn’t find it, you’ll just have to come back THAT MUCH SOONER, stay THAT MUCH LONGER, and LEAVE MELY WITH US when you leave.

      Sounds like a great idea!
(Coming back to resume the search for the mighty tributary of the Roe-Jan Kill I mean, not leaving Mely there…)
